vines like Montepulciano d Abruzzo, Sangiovese,
Ciliegiolo, Pinot Nero, Pinot Bianco, Verdicchio,
Trebbiano, Malvasia and also
cherishes in the production of the homogenous and indegenous vine varieties.
This part of country produces exclusive quality, Italy's most acknowledged white wine in the variety of interpretation: the Verdicchio of Castelli di Jesi, from home-grown grapes
produced only in this region that offers full expression of an inherent distinguishing characteristics.

In line with wonderfully flavored
white wines, the region is also known for
producing fantastic red wines from Montepulciano
grapes grown in limestone rich soil, cool
climate, in which the grapes takes on the
characteristics that are not found elsewhere
in Italy, making wines exquisite in quality,
unique to the region.
Grape vines are grown on 50,000 acres,
producing about two hundred thousand tons
of grapes annually. The MARCHE region is
producing annually about 250 million liters
of wine of which DOC wines are maximum. Hence there is lot of potential for quality
wine production seen in the Marche region.
